With one press of the hand, the Knipex 85 01 250 SmartGrip adjusts automatically to the size of the component and holds it firmly without slipping. This is particularly useful when you need to change grip quickly for different sizes of component, because there is no need for multiple hand movements. When the seconds saved are added together, in the long run they add up to a considerable amount of working time, for left-handed and right-handed users. Thanks to the double guide of the pliers handle, the box joint design gives the pliers high torsional strength and stability. Because the pliers lock onto the component by themselves, all manual force can flow into the desired holding or rotating movement. The head and joint area of the Knipex 85 01 250 SmartGrip have a slim design; the hinge bolt is inserted flush on both sides of the pliers, which ensures good accessibility even in confined spaces. The craftsman has a tool which permits fast and labour-saving work. Thanks to the quality, the tempering and the machining of the chrome vanadium electric steel, these pliers are also designed for a long tool life – as is typical for Knipex. The teeth on the gripping surfaces are additionally specially hardened to approx. 61 HRC. In conjunction with the self-locking effect, this results in a permanently slip-resistant position on the component. Safety for the user: the non-slip plastic coating on the handles gives hands a firm hold; the pinch protection prevents injuries to hands.
